Description
An Triúr Deirféar, “the three sisters” in Irish, are a group of three peaks off the coast of Dingle. It’s a place of battles and love triangles. The irresistible young warrior Diarmuid Ua Duibhne and the beautiful princess Gráinne were in love, only she was betrothed to Fionn Mac Cumhaill, the great warrior king old enough to be her father. When Diarmuid and Gráinne’s affair was discovered, they escaped the Fionn’s pursuit with the help of the Tuatha Dé Danann god of love and creativity Aenghus Óg. According to legend, it was on the highest peak of the Three Sisters that Diarmuid escaped capture.
