Description
Skellig Islands, – on Copper
The Skellig Islands are one of Europe’s most enigmatic sacred sites that pre-date Christianity by thousands of years. It’s the western most site of the ancient Apollo or St. Michael pilgrimage line that connects holy places from Western Ireland all the way to Palestine. As George Bernard Shaw wrote, it’s an “incredible, impossible, mad place” that’s “part of our dream world.” Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s steeped in tales of against-the-odds survival.
Each Skellig Island piece is made-to-order and therefore can have slight variations in appearance. No two are the same, making each piece of art as unique as the place it comes from.
